The safety and security of our guests and employees is our number one priority. Soldier Field’s primary focus is to provide all patrons and visitors a safe and enjoyable environment.

All guests entering Soldier Field will be searched and have their belongings scanned. Soldier Field security and management reserve the right to confiscate items that may cause damage to the facility, endanger guests or players/artists or disrupt an event. Guests who violate building policies or decline to be searched may be denied entry or ejected from the stadium.

Bag Searches

All guests will be subject to a search of their person and possessions prior to entering the stadium. All permissible bags, per the policy of the event, will be permitted into the stadium after a thorough inspection by a security representative. Guests should be prepared to open their bags for inspection and may be asked by a security representative to shift and possibly remove the contents.

Ejection Process

Soldier Field’s primary goal is to provide a safe, secure and memorable guest experience. Guests who violate the Guest Code of Conduct may be ejected. Ejections are documented and anyone ejected from the stadium may be banned from future events. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all guests enjoy their experience at Soldier Field.

Guest Code of Conduct

The Soldier Field Guest Code of Conduct was developed for all guests attending to enjoy their experience and act responsibly. Any guest in violation of these rules will be subject to ejection without refund, loss of ticket privileges for future games and possible arrest. Unruly behavior will not be tolerated. These rules include, but are not limited to:

  • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Underage drinking
  • Actions that are harmful to or endanger others
  • Throwing items of any kind
  • Using foul or abusive language and/or gestures
  • Displaying inconsiderate behavior towards others
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Wearing obscene or indecent clothing
  • Smoking in non-designated areas
  • Sitting or standing in the aisle ways
  • Entering or attempting to enter the field of play
  • Failure to follow instructions of stadium security personnel
  • Entering the stadium with any prohibited items
  • Harassment of visiting team fans

Security Assistance & Texting

On event day, if you need immediate assistance, notify the nearest security guard or usher. During major events, the stadium texting service is available to report issues. To discreetly report unruly behavior or security issues during an event, fans are encouraged to text a brief description of the issue and location. On non-Bears major event days, you may report the issue via text to (312) 262-4151. On Chicago Bears gamedays, you may report the issue via text to (815) 880-1920.

Metal Detection

Soldier Field strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags to the stadium. The stadium allows only certain types and sizes of personal bags or containers into the stadium, including:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Official NFL team logo clear plastic bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags that are 4.5" x 1” x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Purses larger than a small clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs (any type), cinch bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions, strollers, computer bags and camera bags, diaper bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size. For additional information, go to NFL.com/allclear.
  • Soldier Field will offer a bag check during all major events. All bags that exceed the stadium’s bag policy must be either taken back to your vehicle, disposed of or can be checked. Bag check lockers are setup at the 18th St. Turnaround located south of Soldier Field along the pedestrian walk-way after you pass through the tunnel under Lake Shore Drive.  Confirm the location and availability with security.
